The Brief
Provide a new 10 classroom teaching facility with toilet provision and all associated services.
Works also included an extensive external works package providing access (ramped) with footpath from existing school buildings. Along with necessary retaining structures, foundations and groundworks.
All works to conform to current Building Regulations and Education Building Bulletin standards.
The Solution
Our two-storey Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) modular building provides an outstanding learning environment for the students at Rawmarsh Community School.
Hawker Modular’s project management, cost management and CDM advisory services ensured excellent technical, programme, budgetary and safety outcomes.
This new MFL building creates 10 teaching spaces one with the flexibility of a folding partition, central core with toilets and admin offices. Modular methods of construction were used, significantly decreasing the overall construction programme.
The Modular team led a collaborative approach and developed a strong relationship with the schools estates team, resulting in swift problem-solving and a safe construction environment for students and staff on the live school site. Our tightly monitored change control process enabled the project to be delivered on budget, in line with the school’s aspirations.
